Pilgrims and lovers of families of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) attended several ceremonies to mourn the martyrdom of Imam Al Jawad on Monday.
Eulogy to the Imam was heard from various places in Qom while some black flags were flied to show sadness over the sad occasion.
Mourning rituals were held at the holy shrine of Hazrat Massoumeh (AS) in Qom on the eve of the anniversary late on Sunday.
Imam Al Jawad is the son of Imam Reza (AS)- the eighth Imam of Shia Muslims, whose holy shrine is located in IKran's holy city of Mashhad. The Imam is also a brother of Hazrat Massoumeh.
Imam Al Jawad (AS) was martyred in late November 835 and laid to rest in Kadhimayn in the north of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.
